After our landmark research experiment of supporting a dozen people to go car free in 2022, we’re doing it again - and this time in Oxford.

In 2022, we teamed up with local residents from cities across the UK to research what it’s like to try living car free. Now we’ve teamed up with Low Carbon Oxford North and CAST to run a similar trial in Oxford in March 2024.

We know that we need to radically cut car journeys to hit our climate targets. Our 12 participants from Oxford will help us understand the barriers to going car free, so we can campaign locally and nationally.

Want to get involved?

Applications have now closed to participate in the Oxford Car Free trial which will begin in March 2024. But we’re we’ll be gearing up for our national Going Car Free challenge in June, which you can sign up to take part in nearer the time. Watch this space!
