Anti-oppression at Possible: Who we’ve worked with

Below are the organisations we have worked with and would like to say a massive thank you for being on this journey with us.

  • Minda Burgos-Lukes and Charlotte Millar were the external anti-oppression consultants we worked with at the start of our journey. They completed an anti-oppression audit, made recommendations and formed part of the working group who formed our first anti-oppression strategy and delivery plan. They also supported the development of our accountability framework and delivered feedback training and were on hand if we had any questions or needed extra support.

  • Diverse Matters delivered our whole team awareness sessions, on LGBT+, gender, mental health, disability, race, allyship and inclusive language, cultural sensitivities and reaching diverse audiences.

  • Social Justice Collective delivered our anti-oppression training sessions around understanding oppression, power and privilege and generating new possibilities. They have also provided coaching sessions for our head of operations and people, who leads this work, and run regular practitioner circles that we attend.

  • We are Feminist Leaders delivers a 12 week feminist leadership programme attended by our head of operations and people. The content focused on the concepts and principles behind feminist leadership, intersectionality, understanding power, radical approaches to self and collective care and how to embed this into our organisation.

  • NEON provides a peer network for those in the sector working within operations, people, HR or senior leadership where we share best practice, policies and advice.

  • RadHR runs a dedicated website, forum and events for practitioners based on radical, anti-oppressive approaches to HR and operations that we were able to tap into.

  • SafeHR provides us with HR support, software and template policies, ensuring we are compliant and working within employment law when introducing anti-oppressive ways of working.

  • TPP Recruitment awarded us their Inclusive Recruitment Grant, enabling us to work with their specialists, receiving support and advice on inclusive recruitment practices for our trustee recruitment in 2022 and capturing and monitoring recruitment data.
