The arts have always enabled us to tackle pressing social issues through imagination and experimentation, and climate change is no different - that’s why we created the Climate Cabaret.

On 15th April 2021, we held an online virtual cabaret - where a cast of poets, drag performers, burlesque artists, and musicians gave performances about everything from plastic pollution to climate justice. By commissioning artists to create work about climate change and perform it live, we were able to bring people together, spark conversations, and bring new audiences to the climate movement.

“I honestly thought it was such an incredible event! I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I felt surrounded and enveloped by the climate community in a way that I haven't felt in so long. Thank you so much for putting it on.”

“Song! Dance! Comedy! Poetry! Drag! Burlesque! Such an incredible variety, I was very impressed. I also loved seeing the climate movement PROPERLY represented - too many of these events are full of the same straight white men, and it was SO refreshing to see queer folk, black and brown folk being centred in this conversation, and not in an off-hand or tacked-on way, but in a way that felt natural and obvious, because it is.”
