Fixing Factory Workshop Manager

As our Fixing Factory Workshop Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our newest Fixing Factory, helping members of the public to fix their broken items, and supervising a successful team of volunteers and freelancers to support along the way. You’ll deliver a programme of activities to teach people the basics of repair and change their mindset around electronic waste.

You’ll be based mainly onsite at the Fixing Factory in North London (exact location TBC), working with a passionate Fixing Factory team including workshop managers for other sites, and a central development and project management team. You’ll also work closely with The Restart Project, our partner on Fixing Factories.

The basics:

  • Contract: Permanent contract. We can’t currently accept applications for job shares.

  • Salary: £31,945 per year full-time equivalent (£25,556 pro-rata), which is Grade D2 in our salary structure. We are unable to negotiate salary.

  • Location: Predominantly onsite at our North London Fixing Factory (exact location TBC), with occasional activity delivery at other London-based locations. When you’re not needed for onsite activities, you’re welcome to work remotely or from Possible’s Camden office.

  • Working hours: 0.8 FTE, four days per week. Exact hours can be agreed with the successful candidate, but you will need to be available from 9.30 to 5.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and at least one regular evening (approx. 6pm-9.30pm) per week. There will be regular evening and weekend work. We are unable to increase the hours that are advertised here.

  • Managed by: Head of Sustainable Consumption.

  • Manages: Volunteer team.

  • Ideal starting date: February 2025.
