157 MPs join our fight for onshore wind
Back in 2012, 101 backbench MPs stopped wind power in its tracks. But thanks to the hard work of Possible supporters across the country, over 150 MPs (including 6 of those on the original anti-wind letter) have publicly called for onshore wind to be brought back in from the cold.
Our letter (with the long list of signatories) reached Boris Johnson’s desk shortly after he became prime minister. It’s message was loud and clear - onshore wind is very popular, very effective, and very cheap - and it is time to end the government’s stubborn block on new turbines.
We want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who asked their MP to sign the letter. We could never have made this happen without you. With so many MP’s backing our campaign, the case to bring back onshore wind is stronger than ever.
