No worries.

Essentially, a parklet is a former parking spot that has been transformed into a space for people to enjoy.

There’s no such thing as a typical parklet; they can be unique to your neighbourhood; with residents co-designing and maintaining them, they can increase people’s sense of belonging whilst meeting local needs.

Whether the space is used for rest, play, storing bicycles, or growing fruit and veg, parklets are an opportunity for communities to take ownership of their streets.

*For more information about how parklets help speed up action on climate change and to see some photos of existing parklets, see our parklets page.

How you can help

We have funding to support some new community parklets in London, so we’re currently on the lookout for groups to team up with. Could this be you?

Are you keen to create more space on your streets for people to rest, play, socialise, or simply enjoy a bit of greenery? Click the button below to find out more about what we’re looking for, and how to express your interest.

Not able to partner with Possible on this parklet project? Please spread the word about this opportunity with the people and groups you know in London. Why not share this video to kick off the conversation?

Love what we’re doing? If you can afford to give just £2.50 a month, please consider supporting our work. Regular gifts give us the financial stability and security to build meaningful long term campaigns and reach the areas where climate action is needed most.
